Seonwonsa Temple is the central site for Buddhist propagation in Namwon city and was founded by the Unified Silla monk Doseon. It is a branch temple of Geumsansa, the head temple of the 17th district of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. There is a theory that Doseon, after touring the southern mountains and rivers, founded Seonwonsa alongside Manboksa and Daeboksa to boost the fortune of the terrain in Namwon. The temple was founded with a dedication to Yaksa yeorae (Bhaisajyaguru), and originally had over 30 halls. Important cultural heritages include an iron statue of the Buddha enshrined in Yaksa-jeon, a hanging Buddhist painting, and Daeungjeon, a wooden main hall built at the end of the Joseon Dynasty.

[남원두부마을] 남원두부마을은 전체가 목조건물로 되어 있다. 쉬었다 가기에 좋은 정원이 있다. 직접 만든 두부와 영양 돌솥밥, 누룽지와 숭늉, 두부전골 등을 판매하고 있고, 두부는 식물성단백질이 풍부하여 영양이 많다. 남원 중심부의 관광단지 근처에 위치해 있다. [남원허브마을] 봄이면 철쭉이 만발하는 지리산 바래봉 서쪽 산자락에 춘향허브마을은 봄이면 바래봉이 철쭉으로 붉게 물들고 들에는 향기로운 허브가 가득한 향기 가득한 마을이다. 도토리가 많이 나서 도토리 묵, 도토리 떡, 도토리 묵사발같은 생소하고도 맛있는 다양한 도토리 요리를 즐길 수 있다.

Gwanghallu Garden is the garden of Gwanghallu, created in the early Joseon period in Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do. Near Namwon Station in the city, there is Gwanghallu where Chunhyang and Lee Doryeong met, and the garden containing this pavilion is collectively called Gwanghallu Garden. To the north of the garden stands Mount Gyoryongsan, and to the south is Geumam Peak, known as a treasure like gold, with distant views of Jirisan Mountain. Gwanghallu Garden is Korea’s top garden pavilion expressing a profound cosmic view where Gwanghallu, symbolizing the Moon Palace by the pond symbolizing the Milky Way, and Samsin Mountain, the earthly paradise, harmonize. It is one of Korea’s four great pavilions along with Gyeonghoeru, Chokseokru, and Bubyeokru. Inside Gwanghallu Garden are Gwanghallu, Ojakgyo Bridge, Wanwoljung Pavilion, Yeongjugak Pavilion, Chunhyanggwan, Chunhyang Shrine, and Wolmae House, along with accessory facilities such as crafts shops and cafes. Lotus flowers symbolizing the earthly paradise are planted in the pond, and on this pond stands Ojakgyo, the love bridge where Gyeonuu and Jiknyeo, separated by the Milky Way, meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. This stone bridge has four rainbow-shaped holes that allow water flow between both sides and is the most representative bridge of Korean gardens. Chunhyang Shrine holds a portrait of Chunhyang painted by artist Kim Eun-ho. 만복사지는 기린산 아래에 지은 사찰로 일설에는 신라 말 도선국사가 지었다는 설이 있으나, 기록에 의하면 고려 문종 때 세운 것으로 되어 있다. 이 사찰에는 대웅전, 천불전, 영상전, 종각, 명부전, 나한전, 약사전이 있었으며 5층 석탑, 석불입상, 당간지주, 석인상등이 있어 규모가 매우 큰 사찰이었다고 하며 만복사지 부근에는 백뜰, 썩은 밥배미, 중상골 등의 지명이 있어 당시의 사찰 규모를 추정할 수 있다. 백뜰은 만복사지 앞 제방을 말하는데, 승려들이 빨래를 널어 이곳이 온통 하얗다 해서 붙여진 지명이고 썩은 밥배미는 절에서 나온 음식물 찌꺼기를 처리하는 장소로 승려의 수가 많았다는 것을 알 수 있다.

Manin Memorial Tomb is a site imbued with the spirit of patriotism of over 10,000 civilians, government officials, and soldiers who died in the Battle of Namwon Fortress during the Jeongyu War of Japanese Invasions (1597). The Japanese army, believing they had failed to conquer Honam during the Imjin War (1592), launched a renewed invasion with 110,000 troops in 1597. The enemy's right division attacked Jeonju Fortress, while the left and naval forces of 56,000 targeted Namwon Fortress. To defend Namwon Fortress, the court assigned about 1,000 soldiers led by Jeolla commander Lee Bok-nam and 3,000 Ming dynasty troops under Deputy General Yang Won. Despite fierce, life-risking battles, they were overwhelmed, and all 10,000 patriots, including about 6,000 residents, fought valiantly and perished heroically. After the war, returning townspeople gathered the remains in one tomb and built Chungnyeolsa Shrine in 1612 (Gwanghaegun year 4). After several relocations and with government support and heartfelt donations from all citizens, the shrine now enshrines memorial tablets of 50 patriots. Every year on September 26, a memorial rite is held for the Manin patriots, honoring their noble spirit. Visitors can tour the site with cultural tourism guides to reflect on the sacrifice of these national heroes and create precious memories.

Namwon Gyoryongsanseong Fortress is a stone fortress utilizing the terrain of Gyoryongsan Mountain, which is 518 meters above sea level, with a circumference of about 3,120 meters. Currently, the east gate, an ogival bastion protecting it, and some parts of the fortress wall remain, with the east gate site and water gate showing important structures for fortress research. Inside the fortress are 99 wells and a valley, providing advantageous conditions for residents to evacuate or fight during emergencies. During the early Joseon period, a warehouse for military provisions was established here, highlighting its strategic importance. The construction period is not precisely known, but based on its location and style, it is estimated to have been built during the Baekje period.
