Day 1
Ansan Multicultural Special Zone 〉
Ansan-si in Gyeonggi-do is the area with the highest number of foreigners, making it a small world within Korea. The Wongok-dong area in Danwon-gu, Ansan-si was designated as a Multicultural Special Zone in 2009. There is also a multicultural food street where you can taste diverse dishes from around the world, so you can enjoy traditional foods from various countries without going abroad. As Wongok-dong was designated as a multicultural special zone, the street scenery began to change gradually. A foreign resident center exclusively for foreigners was established, and even bank names that cannot be written in Chinese characters, like Woori Bank or Hana Bank, have been changed to Chinese characters on their signboards. There are more signs in foreign languages than in Korean on the street, and most people passing by are foreigners. Next to the Wongok Bon-dong Community Service Center, at the Foreign Resident Center, there is also a signpost showing the directions and distances to various countries around the world.

The sandy beach is very wide, so even on busy weekends it does not feel crowded, and the soft sand is comfortable for walking barefoot. The moderate water depth during high tide is ideal for water play, and during low tide, visitors can enjoy vivid mudflat experiences by walking along the moist mudflats. Mudflat experiences are free if you bring your own tools, and you can catch clams and crabs. Additionally, you can stroll along the pine forest path beside the beach or visit Bangaeori Food Culture Street, which offers many restaurants and atmospheric cafes, making it a great place to enjoy together.

Podo Bat Halmeoni Kalguksu Daebudo Main Branch is a third-generation kalguksu specialty restaurant located in Daebudo, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do. The generous clam kalguksu is the signature dish here, and the savory, crispy seafood pajeon served alongside the noodles is also popular. The kimchi served in the restaurant is domestically made sea salt kimchi, prepared freshly once a week. There is a spacious parking lot on a wide open area, and the restaurant operates in a clean two-story building, allowing for a comfortable visit.
