The maiden statue standing on the waterside deck holds her skirt with one hand and reeds with the other, with her garment strings fluttering in the wind. The pedestal is inscribed with lyrics. Lyricist Bannyaweol, famous for songs like 'Crying Over Bakdaljae' and 'Mia Ridge of Farewell,' wrote the lyrics of 'Soyang River Maiden,' inspired by the scenery of the Soyang River.
