Nosan Park 〉
Nosan Park is an urban park located near Samcheonpo Port breakwater, situated on a hill protruding toward the sea, offering a coastal park with ocean views. At the top of Nosan Park is a spot that overlooks the front sea of Samcheonpo, part of Hallyeohaesang National Park. Nosan Park features various facilities including the Park Jaesam Literature Museum (dedicated to the poet of 'Ulumi Taneun Gaulgang'), Hoyeonjae (a school established in the Joseon Yeongjo period), a statue of Samcheonpo Agassi (a song sung by the Eunbangul sisters), Nosanjeong (an octagonal observatory), sports facilities, and a coastal deck road, making it an excellent place for sightseeing.
Samcheonpo Jungang Market 〉
Samcheonpo Jungang Market is a permanent market forming the central commercial area of the Samcheonpo region. Due to its location adjacent to the sea, it has a high concentration of wholesale seafood and dried seafood shops, allowing visitors to shop at affordable prices. Around Samcheonpo Jungang Market, there are also Jonghap Market and Seobu Market nearby, offering a variety of sights to enjoy.
Daebangjin Guhang 〉
Daebangjin Guhang is a 2,099m² (635-pyeong) artificial harbor located on the outer seaside of Daebang-dong, Sacheon-si. It is one of the military port facilities established to prevent the frequent invasions by Japanese pirates on the southern coast during the late Goryeo Dynasty. During the Imjin War, Admiral Yi Sun-sin is said to have used it as a naval base. The current harbor was constructed around 1820 during the Joseon era under King Sunjo by the Jinju Byeongma Jeoldosa, who mobilized the people of 73 myeon under Jinju Mok to build a stone embankment. It served as a base for military communication with the Jeollyangcheomsa of Namhae Changseondo, housing about 300 naval soldiers and two warships at that time.
Sacheon Seonjinsel Fortress 〉
Sacheon Seonjinsel Fortress in Sacheon is located in a place surrounded by the sea on three sides, offering excellent views and is famous as a cherry blossom tourist spot in spring. Seonjinsel Fortress was built by Japanese forces during the Imjin War, and when the 700 old cherry trees planted inside the fortress bloom, it becomes a spectacular cherry blossom attraction. Although the Yakseokru has collapsed, traces remain of the earthen fortifications, the gate, and what is presumed to be the command post site. Climbing the stone steps at the fortress entrance and walking along the fortress walls reveals an outdoor performance hall, and beyond the gate, one can see the site of the main tower, a monument honoring the war dead, and a victory monument commemorating Admiral Yi Sun-sin's naval victory at Sacheon.
Sacheon Aerospace Museum 〉
Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd., a comprehensive aircraft manufacturer, opened this museum on August 28, 2002, based on more than 2,200 exhibits previously displayed at the Seoul Yeouido Comprehensive Security Exhibition Hall in 1995. The museum was established to foster a proper historical perspective on the Korean War and national security and to present the technology and vision of the 21st-century advanced aerospace industry. The museum consists mainly of the Aerospace Hall, Freedom Defense Hall, Aviation Industry Hall, and Outdoor Exhibition Hall.
