Chuksan Port 〉
Chuksan Port is located where the mountain ridges extending from Taebaek Mountain descend to the coast, forming a beautiful coastline resembling a bay, and was established in March 1924. Fishing boats from nearby ports come here for fish collection and bidding management. Along with Ganggu Port, it is a representative fishing port of Yeongdeok and one of the five nationwide ports where king crab auctions take place. It is the best habitat for Yeongdeok king crab along with the original crab village, and king crabs can be purchased at the nearby Chuksan Port fish market. It is also part of the Yeongdeok Blue Road B course, which starts from Haemaji Park and passes through Daetan Port, Seokri village entrance, crab original village, Blue Road Bridge, Jukdosan, Chuksan Port, and Namsi birthplace. Notably, Chuksan Port is famous as a filming location for BTS's "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" music video.
Chayudom Rock 〉
There are many famous fishing spots in the Yeongdeok-gun area of Gyeongbuk. Among them, the rocky shores around Nomul to Gyeongjeong are well known as the core sections for fishing and are famous enough to be called one of the representative black porgy fishing spots on the East Coast. However, the rocky shores around Chayu Village in Gyeongjeong-ri are mostly lesser-known fishing points, so the rocks are well preserved in their original state. The first rocky shore you reach when walking north from Chayu Village is Chayudom Rock. Chayudom Rock surprises anglers by producing many large black porgies over 50cm, rivaling the famous Yeoseodo Dom Rock and Tongyeong Gukdo Dom Rock. Besides Chayudom Rock, many rocky spots around Chayu Village also yield abundant black porgy. It is a relatively little-known area, so it is not crowded, allowing anglers to enjoy fishing calmly and comfortably.
Jukdosan 〉
Jukdosan is a crab specialty restaurant located along the road in the middle section of Ganggu Port Daegae Street in Yeongdeok-gun. On the first floor, there is a large aquarium that stores a large quantity of crabs and live fish, and the second floor features a glass window with water flowing like a waterfall, creating a very refreshing atmosphere. The main menu consists of steamed crabs and wild fresh sashimi, and after enjoying the mild crab meat, fried rice made by stir-frying rice in the crab innards, paired with spicy crab stew, is a delicacy. The third floor of the restaurant has lodging facilities, making overnight stays possible. It has a spacious parking lot for easy vehicle access and offers a comfortable space with a clean interior.
Yeongdeok Sunrise Park 〉
Yeongdeok Sunrise Park is a coastal natural park created along the 64km coastal road connecting Ganggu-myeon and Chuksan-myeon. After a fire in 1997 burned not only the coastline but also the nearby mountain area, the devastated land was restored, focusing on creating a natural park using eco-friendly materials with easy sea access. The park features a front view of the blue sea, a wide grassland behind, and a pine forest plantation, forming an open space. Around 1,500 wooden steps connect gazebos and weave the coastal road to the sea, forming a beautiful walking trail. There are two observation decks along the trail, offering excellent photography spots with panoramic views of the East Sea. Additionally, the park's landmark, the Changpomal Lighthouse, is harmoniously installed with the surrounding natural scenery. Due to its attraction of offering the clearest and most beautiful sunrise views, it draws visitors not only on New Year's Day but also on weekdays for sunrise viewing and leisurely rest.
Samsa Marine Park · Samsa Marine Walkway 〉
Samsa Marine Park is located south of Ganggu Port in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk, overlooking the refreshing East Sea. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, attracting many local residents and tourists. To soothe the sorrow of displaced people from the Five Northern Provinces, the Manmanghyang Tower was built in 1995, along with the Gyeongbuk Great Bell commemorating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Gyeongbuk Province, a performance hall, waterfall, and other convenience facilities. The 'Sunrise Festival,' first held on January 1, 1997, was a great success with people praying for their New Year's wishes, and it is held annually, becoming an established cultural festival. From May to October, every Saturday afternoon, weekend performances featuring local music clubs add enjoyment for visitors to Samsa Marine Park.
